None of the more convenient thrift stores had any of the good Christmas candy left over, but where some worthwhile clearance remained was: the Mission. Those Walgreenses were packed with Cadbury's Creme Eggs and such. Of course I had to stock up to fulfill an all-important role in the seasonal candy version of the grasshopper and the ant fable.
Eliminating one more unique aspect from the neighborhood (however inconsequential) made me feel that I am doing my part to gentrify the Mission.
Radical Dreamers is bizarre and really great! And totally unlike you would think it might be like from reading scripts. It's also every bit as relevant to Chrono Cross as Chrono Trigger was (if not moreso, since CC is centered around the whole parallel-worlds-that-are-similar-but-wit
h-important-differences thing). The soundtrack is full of melodies that were reused and made more grating in Chrono Cross; it's got CC's world map theme all Final Fantasy VI-ed out (in a good way, without excessive pan fluting, and featuring a rocking waltz breakdown), and "Gale" actually sounds good here. Now I need to find more games like this. Hopefully translated. <-- so not gonna happen
